Analysis of the chlorophyll content of pumpkins at different growing stages by chlorophyll detector showed that the chlorophyll content gradually increased during the vegetative period of the pumpkin (the seedling stage and the ranch stage); the chlorophyll contents of the offspring and the parents were compared. The similarity between the offspring and maternal changes is similar to that of the chloroplasts, which again confirms that the heredity of the chloroplasts follows the cytoplasmic inheritance law; the comparison of the change laws of the chlorophyll content and the changes of the net photosynthetic rate of all varieties can be seen that the chlorophyll content is consistent under the same environmental conditions. The change in net photosynthetic rate is positively correlated.
