New achievements have been made in technological innovation.

Steel utilization rate hit a new high

Most of the new products of Dalian COSCO Shipyard are series of ships. In order to reduce the cost of single ship, the company started from the design source and improved the utilization rate of steel by strengthening design management, optimizing refined design and optimizing nesting. In the design of the 57,000-ton bulk carrier Taijia Ship DN0040, the expected goal of achieving a steel utilization rate of 89% was achieved in advance.

In order to improve the utilization rate of steel, Dalian COSCO Shipbuilding Technology Department has also established a special ship steel database, which has compiled and improved all the ordered order lists, compiled the residual material database and the margin database, and adopted strict process control to increase the balance. The call strength and specifications of the material are reasonably adjusted. In the steel ordering stage, the purchase amount of the steel sheet is reduced by optimizing the sheet drawing on a page-by-page basis and adopting zero margin to issue POR. The adoption of a series of measures has enabled the utilization rate of DK0040 steel of Taijia Ship to reach 89.37%, which is nearly 2 percentage points higher than the material utilization rate of DN0031 before optimization design, and the utilization rate of single ship steel in Dalian shipping manufacturing project has reached a new high. The BOM value of the plate received by DN0040 is 225 tons less than that of DN0031.

Unit modular design

In order to more effectively guarantee the construction quality and expand the pre-assembly, in the past two years, Dalian COSCO Shipbuilding Technology Department has carried out design innovation, and the design of the bottom area has changed from the comprehensive production design of the basin to the regional unit prefabrication. In the newly designed several projects, the equipment is defined by units, such as large cooler units, water generator units, generator tube units, etc., and then the units are designed separately, and the traditionally closed and installed. Half of the pipeline is completed in the unit stage, so that the errors caused by the production process of the units and the difficulties of connecting to the ship can be solved in advance, and the quality of the unit installation on the ship is greatly improved. A large number of unitized designs have promoted the deepening and development of the design of machine-mounted pipe systems, and at the same time drove the deepening and development of related professional designs such as shovel. The CP57 ship under construction adopts a unit design that is 2 to 3 times more efficient than the previously built 57K series ship, and the quality is greatly improved, and the armor cycle is shortened by 1.5 to 2 months.

Process design continues to innovate

In order to achieve high quality and efficiency for shipbuilding, Dalian COSCO Shipyard technicians have tried every means to innovate process methods.

First, the rudder system production design is optimized. It is proposed that the steering gear installation is replaced by a high-strength epoxy resin block instead of the traditional steel pad. The application results on the 80,000-ton bulk carrier series show that this change greatly shortens the steering gear installation time. .

The second is to continuously improve the ship launching plan. On August 24th, the 80,000 bulk carrier (N213) built by Dalian Shipping successfully completed the launching operation. Due to the improved launching plan, the operation took only 6 hours to create Dalian. COSCO Shipyard recorded the shortest time for floating water.

The third is to combine the actual construction method of shipbuilding production, which is developed by the designer, “a temporary water retaining protection structure for marine manholes”; “a portable hooking tooling structure for pipes” and “an adjustable temporary support structure”. The three technical patents have been accepted by the State Intellectual Property Office, marking a new breakthrough in Dalian's shipping industry in terms of technological innovation, intellectual property protection, and high-tech enterprise construction.
