Re-walk the project next week at the World Cup

Next week at the World Cup, the Handan Volunteer Association will help children with disabilities to walk to the site to participate in the opening ceremony. This modern miracle is caused by a robotic exoskeleton who will take commands directly from his or her thoughts and move the user's limbs.

The demonstration is a re-walking project. It is a consortium of more than 150 scientists and engineers from all over the world showing the latest advances in brain-computer interface or BMI. The embarrassing person wears an electroencephalogram (EEG) headset that records brainwave activity. A backpack computer converts these electrical signals into commands that the exoskeleton can understand. With the framework of the robot, it also sends its own signals back to the body, restoring not only the ability to walk, but also the feeling.
The focus of the project is not to spontaneously exhibit completed research or to sell a particular technology. The re-walking project aims to stimulate research.
