Sinochem International stepped up its global "rubber" layout

Recently, Sinochem International (Holdings) Co., Ltd. announced that it plans to invest EUR 195.2 million to acquire a 35% stake in Belgium's SIAT. After the successful acquisition, Sinochem International's natural rubber business will cover six major rubber-producing countries in Africa, including Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria. In addition to Sinochem International's industrial deployment in major rubber-producing countries in Southeast Asia, as well as major procurement and processing bases in China such as Hainan, Yunnan, and Xishuangbanna, Sinochem International's global development strategy for natural rubber has accelerated. In the promotion of the global development strategy of natural rubber, Sinochem International firmly grasps the three major links of planting, processing and trading and improves the global marketing system.

In the acquisition of natural rubber resources, Sinochem International has promoted an extension strategy of resources upstream with the expansion of natural rubber planting. It has also added 100,000 hectares of natural rubber plantation land in countries such as Africa and Indonesia, and developed Myanmar and Vietnam. A number of emerging market resources in the Greater Mekong River Basin, such as Cambodia, have shaped natural rubber planting and production resources in Hainan and Yunnan across Southeast Asia, West Africa and China.

In the field of natural rubber processing, we will continue to implement our own controllable processing capacity strategy and continuously optimize and improve the global production capacity. The company has formed an annual output of 600,000 tons of processing capacity in the main natural rubber producing areas in West Africa, Southeast Asia and domestic Yunnan, Hainan, etc., and initially completed the global layout of processing and production bases.

In the global trade of natural rubber, we will vigorously implement a global integrated business strategy. The company has built overseas marketing platforms and corresponding supporting logistics capabilities in Singapore and other regions, and has continuously expanded its marketing scale. It actively develops Indonesia's natural rubber premium resources and becomes the largest supplier of Indonesian rubber in the Chinese market; it strengthens its strategy with international tire manufacturers. Cooperation with the world's leading tire manufacturers signed a long sales contract, the market and major customers in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Last year, Sinochem International's natural rubber processing capacity reached 600,000 tons at home and abroad, achieved a sales volume of natural rubber of 830,000 tons, and its global market share increased from 6.1% to 8%, ranking first in China and second in the world.
