NK Corporation of South Korea recently announced that it has signed a letter of intent with a large Japanese shipyard and has supplied ballast water treatment systems (BWTS) for seven LNG carriers since early July. It is expected that the final purchase contract will be finalized in the near future.
It is reported that NK Company has accelerated the order taking speed. This year, the company has received orders for more than 20 ships. For example, the NKO3-400 system with the largest size of NK has recently received a VOLC order from a Japanese shipyard. In addition, a contract for the matching of six Aframax tankers built by South Korea has been completed by NK Corporation, and specific details are currently being discussed. This year, NK also received orders for two container ships and chemical tankers built by South Korea.
