China's auto exports "four plates" formed


The China Motor and Electrical Products Import and Export Chamber of Commerce has released a semi-annual report on China's auto exports. Statistics show that Asia, Europe, and Africa are the “four plates” of Chinese auto exports. Among them, the successful establishment of the China-Chile Free Trade Area has enabled China’s own brand cars. The "export" growth in Chile is very prominent.

Fu Peizhao, a senior engineer of the Automotive Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Mechanical and Electrical Products Imports and Exports, told reporters that according to the statistical analysis of the continents, the changes in the pattern of China’s auto export international market since 2005 have basically solidified, regardless of whether they are sorted by amount or quantity. Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, North America and Oceania. “Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America are growing more evenly in four continents, especially in South America, which has been growing steadily in the past two years. Exports to these four continents account for more than 99% of China’s auto exports, forming four major segments of Chinese auto exports. ”

The proportion of exports to Europe accounts for 31% and 33% of the total, of which more than 70% are for Eastern European countries such as Russia and Ukraine, followed by the EU and other Western European countries.

Sorted by country statistics, exports to Russia are still ranked first, with an export value of US$770 million, an increase of 70.2% year-on-year, and the number of exports is 5.05 million, an increase of 30.7% year-on-year. Exports to Russia accounted for 15.4% of China’s auto exports and 13.0% of exports, a larger decrease than last year. In addition, the exports of Vietnam, Iran, and Ukraine increased significantly year-on-year, with the second, third, and fourth-ranked exports. Among them, exports to Vietnam amounted to US$493 million, an increase of 360.8% year-on-year, accounting for 9.8% of China’s total automobile exports, and the number of exports was 48,800, an increase of 288.1% year-on-year, accounting for China’s automobile exports. 12.6% of the total number. There are 11 countries that export more than US$100 million.

In addition, exports to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Chile exceeded 80 million U.S. dollars. In particular, the growth of automobile exports to Brazil and Chile in South America is very prominent. Exports to Brazil mainly include commercial vehicles such as high value-added crane trucks and Chile’s mainly self-owned cars. Fu Peizhao said that the successful establishment of the China-Chile Free Trade Area has created a good trading environment for Chinese auto product export. From January to June of this year, the number of Chinese auto exports to Chile reached 12,000, an increase of 488.2% year-on-year. The export value of 80.17 million US dollars, an increase of 373.2%.
